The Rising Sun, Berkhamsted
The Rising Sun is a small 3 room pub by the canal side and next to a lock. There is a front bar, another one to the side and a rear room.
Five ales were on, as well as real ciders and perries. They also have an extensive array of spirits from all over the world. We sampled a quick pint of Tring's Side Pocket followed by an expensive, but very nice sloe gin.
The two fellas that appear to run the place appeared friendly and there seems to be a mixture of people popping up behind the bar.
A lovely little pub with wobbly wooden tables, which would be great to visit on a sunny Saturday afternoon, rather than a damp Tuesday evening.
