Raven, Corby

The Raven in Corby is on Rockingham Road and therefore on the way to the ground, so it would have been rude not to pop in for a quick pint.

If only! With only one  member of staff on behind the bar, who had managed to mess up a barrel change, emerged from the cellar covered in John Smith's.

The Raven was Corby's first hotel built in the 1930's consisting of a long open plan room with a long bar. To the rear is a large ballroom/function room used for live music and dances.

Unfortunately, uninspiring and following a couple of pints of Red Dawn from the Red Squirrel Brewery we left for the ground to get wet and be confronted by jobs-worth stewards.
